Fit perfect . A very easy install. Maybe I should have gone stainless. The black skid plate is subtle on my black 48. I haven't bashed anything with it, but I did buy it for the looks. Score. This machine has throttle cables, a clutch cable and the parts to move the coils and ignition switch all from Lowbrow. All quality products.
Tim must have the smallest fingers in the universe ‘cause I couldn’t get my paws in between the plate n the backscrews. My tip: don’t install the frontbolts yet; rest the front on a small cardboard box so it’s a little up and start with the backbolts first. (You then have a little mote space for y’r digits) Start those, then do the frontbolts & then tighten, starting at the front. Worked A+ for me!
Skid plate is well-designed and sturdy. With the bike on the kickstand on the floor, I used a tie wrap to hold the front spacer in place and put the screws in loose. For the rear spacer/ tapped out plate, I used 2 cigarette butts to keep the tapped plate in place and align the holes. Be sure to chase out the paint and dirt from the welded nuts on the front bike-frame bracket.
