Rawhide Cycle's oil filter adapters are made for JBros. and machined in Boise, Idaho USA from 6061 T6 billet aluminum. This adapter will allow you to run a spin-on oil filter right off of your oil pump on late generator Shovelhead and all cone Shovelhead engines. Any engine running the aluminum oil pump can accept this part.
This solves the issue that many people have with a custom oil tank application and allows you to filter your oil directly out of the engine before returning to the oil tank. It also adds a backup oil filter for anyone running a stock tank with the commonly faulty oil filters in the tank. This is the same oil filtration cycle as a stock setup on Shovelheads that have the oil filter in the tank.

This oil filter adapter accepts a Harley oil filter (not included) OEM #63782-80, which is available separately in black or chrome.
Fitment Notes: For those with a hardtail frame - If you have a crossover tube for a mechanical rear brake, this part will not clear that tube. This works best with a juice drum (hydraulic rear brake drum), a disc brake, or a custom rear application.
You will need 3.5 inches between your oil pump body and your transmission for this to fit with just enough clearance to fit your spin on oil filter in to install it. Will 100% work with S&S replacement aluminum oil pumps. For aftermarket cases, you may have minor clearance issues which can be easily solved with some filing of the actual adapter.
Included are both 1/4"-24 and 1/4"-20 mounting bolts, though you will only need one set depending on the year of your engine.
