the item worked pretty good. length was good, finish good, except the threads were a bit rough. I polished them because the petcock (Golan) was tight going on, the polishing worked, the only real complaint I have is the inside diameter on the upper end could be a little larger so that a screen can be used on the petcock without forcing it in, I ended up honing about .025 off the inside which took forever, but made the fit less tight. otherwise a great part at a great price.

The inside diameter was too small for the petcock filter to fit in. So I had to bore it out larger. So be prepared to modify it.

Sorry for the hassle, Joey! It depends on what style / brand petcock you are using, as the petcock filter fits for certain brands, and not for others.

This fuel bung is well machined with a perfect thread and enough meat on the body to machine and mess with. The ability to use a decent/stock fuel tap is a bonus.

I was told I'd never find something like this by a motorcycle shop in my area when I went looking there. I'm raising the front of a sportster tank to match the slope of the backbone and so obviously would have to relocate the petcock. Added a bigger petcock too. The shop told me my only option would be to find an old tank and cut that bung off but I didnt like that cause it wouldnt sit level and might hit my engine head. Found this gem here and am so very happy with it. There was a bit of left over burs on the inside of the top of the bung though that I had to file down to remove but other than that it's the perfect length and exactly what I needed. I will be buying multiple next time i order anything from this site for my stock.

Machining on the bung is
Machining on the bung is rough, but functional. There are burrs that could have easily been cleaned up and the threads don't feel the greatest. They are very sharp and don't feel finished at all. Hopefully the bung last for a while, but well see...
