The Lowbrow Customs USA Workforce Training Scholarships at Tri-C

Lowbrow Customs provides money for annual scholarships to the Tri-C Foundation. We started out with $5,000 in scholarships per year in 2018, and we are proud to have increased our support to $7,500 per year as of 2024.

As of 2025 we have donated $45,000 which has been directly used for Lowbrow Customs USA Workforce Training Scholarships!

You can apply for the Lowbrow Customs Scholarship, and others, by visiting the Tri-C Scholarship & Financial Aid website here.

The scholarships are for students in financial need who are pursuing workforce training opportunities. Lowbrow Customs aims to help foster the growth and success of USA manufacturing.

On a daily basis Lowbrow works with men and women in the manufacturing trades who work the same way we do. Those who take pride in what they do and strive to do the best work possible. We want to help support USA manufacturing.

Companies across the country are looking for skilled workers across all fields of manufacturing. Cuyahoga Community College (also known as Tri-C) is our local college in Cleveland, Ohio. Tri-C offers training to get people into these high-demand, well-paid jobs.

It doesn’t have to take four years to get a college degree and have a career, many of these programs are ten to eighteen weeks. We want to support northeast Ohio, but more than that, we want to help support and create companies that we can work with in the future.

For more information on scholarships contact the Tri-C Foundation, and for more information on classes visit www.tri-c.edu

“Thank you so much for your generous donation to this wonderful program. I have been in the class for about two weeks now and have already learned so much, not only in technical skill, but also in being a valuable employee. I am again thankful for your donation and will take full advantage of this program and get as much as I can out of this awesome opportunity.”

Nicholas K., Welding, 2018 Scholarship Recipient

"Thank you so much for this scholarship. Because of the pandemic, I lost my job and did not have much hope of finding something else. I feel this program is the perfect fit for me and will allow me to re-enter the workforce. I truly appreciate the opportunity to expand my skills and knowledge and hope to use them in my new career. This financial assistance is greatly appreciated."

Von G., CNC Right Skills Now, 2020 Scholarship Recipient

"I would love to send my appreciation to the donor for the scholarship I received. It will help me to continue to advance myself in the manufacturing program and help me continue to work hard to upgrade and improve my skills. My goals are to continue to seek higher education and training in the manufacturing field, so more opportuniites for advancement will come my way."

Mario Rios Sr., AIT-Manufacturing Technology, 2023 Scholarship Recipient

"Earning this scholarship has allowed me to more easily focus on my studies and pursue a career in manufacturing, engineering, and fabrication. I was first interested in this field after taking a tour of a local career high school in 8th grade. I enjoyed the tour and had an opportunity to learn about different robotics, manufacturing, and programming processes. I later enrolled at the career school and excelled. I had found my passion in classes including coding, programming, robotics, machining, and technologies. This scholarship has provided the opportunity to continue pursuing this passion. I would love to continue in a career that will allow me to create and improve things around the country and the world ."

Christina Irvine, Industrial Welding, 2024/2025 Scholarship Recipient

"I am an apprentice carpenter in Local 351. My current goals are to become a journeyman and to finish out college. This will help me move into construction management. This scholarship has allowed me to register for my classes and reduce the cost of my education ."

        Lincoln Electric Welding School

The Lowbrow Customs Lincoln Electric Welding School Endowed Scholarship

In 2018 Lowbrow Customs created an endowed scholarship which will provide an annual $1,000 scholarship to the Lincoln Electric Welding School. Being endowed means that our donation will supply a yearly scholarship to a student in financial need, indefinitely.

To apply for the Lowbrow Customs Scholarship, and others, please visit the AWS Scholarship page here! The deadline for scholarships each year is May 1st.

Lowbrow is based outside of Cleveland, Ohio, where Lincoln Electric was founded in 1895. The welding school followed shortly after in 1917. We are proud to have them as part of our community.

We think the Lowbrow Customs Welding Scholarship is another excellent way we can show support for the Midwest as well as American manufacturing. Training to become a certified welder can change lives and supply the skills necessary to have a real profession across so many different industries.
