What is motorcycle oil tanks

A motorcycle oil tank is a tank that holds the capacity of oil used to cool the motorcycle. Motorcycles that use oil to keep the engine cool have an oil tank allowing for excess oil to circulate through the engine and through an oil cooler mounted to the front of the motorcycle.

As the oil travels from the oil tank it enters the engine at a lower temperature helping to cool the engine of the motorcycle . As it travels through the oil passages in the engine, the oil heats up due to the energy created by the combustion in the cylinders.

When the oil leaves the engine, it travels to an oil cooler mounted on the front of the motorcycle. This oil cooler is a radiator that cools the oil as it travels through the passages in the cooler. Now the oil re-enters the oil cooler at a lower temperature and the process starts all over again.
