Blue Ridge Stake Out
Stakeout Events was formed in 2017 with the intent to help new and veteran riders get back to the roots of what makes riding and camping off a motorcycle fun. They don’t add a ton of added production to distract you from enjoying nature and making friends. Stakeout Events focus on the basics of securing a solid place to put your tent, some simple creature comforts like food & beverage on site as well as nightly entertainment and a solid campfire. They then pair that with destinations that are off the beaten path near bucket list roads and let the attendees do the rest. Blue Ridge Stake Out is their second event in the quest to bring good times to two wheeled travelers.
The Blue Ridge Sake Out took place at the end of September on the Chantilly Farm in Floyd, Virginia which is near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Crooked Road Heritage Music Trail. The property is over 200 + acres of amazing rolling hills, wild life, and top notch camping / amenities. The weekend was filled with good people, good food and amazing riding. Glory Daze Custom & Vintage Motorcycle Show - Pittsburgh, Pa
Mikey went off to Pittsburgh, Pa back in September 2019 to meet up with Kurt and Alexa Diserio of Pittsburgh Moto Magazine and check out the very first annual Glory Daze Custom & Vintage Motorcycle Show. He also brought its '77 FXE Shovelhead Chopper and Kyle's '67 Triumph land speed record setting bike with him. This short vid, Mikey gets the lowdown from Kurt why they created the show and what it's all about for them. There were over 100 motorcycles in the historic Carrie Blast Furnace Building and each had their own and beautiful story to tell as well. So sit back and relax and take a quick look at what seems to be going forward a staple in the custom motorcycle show world.
Lowbrow Customs Nights @ Rays MTB

Come hang out at Ray's Indoor Bike Park, ride bicycles and have a great time with others who love two wheeled machines of all sorts! Some of us here at Lowbrow frequent Ray's MTB and so do a lot of our motorcycle-riding friends. So we figured we would make a regular thing out of it. We are very lucky to have this famous bike park right here in our home town!
If you haven't ridden at Ray's, or haven't ridden a BMX or mountain bike in years, no problem! Mention Lowbrow and get a day pass and a rental bicycle (plus helmet and pads if you like) for only $28 (normally $41)! If you bring your own bike and mention Lowbrow a day pass to ride is $14 (normally $23). Entry is free if you aren't riding, so if you just want to hang out come on down.
Ray's MTB is dialed, with fireplaces, picnic tables and couches so there are plenty of places to chill and catch up with friends. There are also several spots where you can sit and have a drink while watching people ride different areas of the park. You can bring in your own food and drink as well, though Lowbrow will be providing a cooler of non-alcoholic beverages and later in the evening we will get some pizzas delivered. We are starting off easy and will be setting up a big Saturday event at Ray's towards the open of the next season Fall 2019! Stay tuned for more on that…

Flat Out Friday - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Flat Out Friday is an indoor flat track racing series in a stadium type setting that kicks off the Mama Tried show weekend in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It started 4 years ago by a man name Jeremy Prach. I've been fortunate enough to be able to witness each of the Flat Out Friday races and though I always think it's going to be the same, the outcome of the night becomes wildly different and leaves a huge smile on my face. It's just one of those events that just gets you pumped for the rest of the weekend. With high action racing in multiple es, random drumming bunnies, loud music coming from different hallways, a guy getting thrown through a table, a cb750 lawn mower, thrills, spills and much more, it really is never a dull moment.
The Gorgeous one they call Greg and I walked to the Panther Arena bright and early Friday morning. I specifically booked a close hotel so we could walk to the arena. Let me just say that .4 of a mile felt like forever in the brain freeze winds of Milwaukee. As we walked up we noticed everyone waiting in line to register and sign in. We checked out a few bikes as we walked in front of everyone to sneak by and go in the side door. I felt a bad we were cutting everyone, but we wanted to make sure we could lay out a bunch of free stickers, biker patches and other Lowbrow swag for racers. After laying out all the swag we walked around the pits for a while, checking out more bikes and meeting up with friends we haven't seen in a long time.
After a quick bite at a local pub we rushed back to the arena to catch the remaining prelims. Amateurs and professionals were wiping out, throwing sparks and sliding through hay bails. The day eventually turned into the evening and people started to file into the arena. As I looked around from the center of the track, more and more seats filled up and the crowds roar got louder and louder. It's a feeling like no other and I wasn't even the one racing. I can only imagine the excitement each racer feels ripping around the track hearing the crowd scream as they pass the next guy or gal. Heat after heat, bikes wizzing by the tight circle track, it's easy to get lost in it all and lose track of time.
Rather then bore you with more words I'll just leave it at this. Flat Out Friday is just good old fashion fun entertainment for the whole family. You will go home smelling like race gas, burnt rubber and see something you'd never thought you'd see. Every outcome is different and racers competing are truly there to have some fun. I can't say it enough, but if you haven't gone to a Flat Out Friday event yet, put it on your calendar and make sure not miss the next one that goes down! I promise you will leave a better human!
Balcer Performance Motorcycle Swap Meet & Drag Racing at Dragway 42
Our good friend Billy Balcer of Balcer Performance is hosting a motorcycle swap meet and motorcycle drag racing at Dragway 42 on Sunday, May 26th 2019. Lowbrow Customs will be there with a big vendor spot, selling our scratch and dent goods as well as crusty, used motorcycle parts from our personal garages. It is going to be a great swap meet with plenty of vintage parts for Harley-Davidsons, Triumphs and others. Don't miss it!

Drag racing is for motorcycles only, and all makes, models and years are welcome! You must have proper racing equipment (jacket, helmet etc) to participate. Ride on down and join in the racing, it is an absolute blast lining up against your friends (or strangers) and going head-to-head. If you haven't done it before you best make your way to West Salem for a good time.
