A:The registration process for a custom full frame will vary greatly from state to state.
I would highly suggest checking your state's DMV(Department of Motor Vehicles or equivalent agency) website for registration guidelines.
The main differences when comparing hardtail and full frame options comes down to available dimensions(rake angle, stretch, etc.) and the retention of your original title and VIN(Vehicle Identification Number).
If you are starting with a crate engine, the build will need to be titled/registered as new construction which is a whole other deal.
Gasbox provides an MSO(Manufacturer's Statement of Origin) with all of their full frames. They may be able to guide you further in the right direction regarding the title/registration process.

A:Anything may be possible with metal fabrication but you may want to consider the weld on hardtail that will retain your stock front section along with your vin
