I purchased the Stator CE-8999 for my 1997 HD FLSTC-Heritage. At 26 years, the original stator still in it but leads at plug to VR had carbonized. I had hoped to pair with a CE VR, but sadly it had a manufacturing defect. Not having a garage, I had a local H-D certified independent mechanic install. Once i stalled, my bike charges quickly and even in current Mid-Atlantic cold spell provides needed power I do use trickle charger in this cold but this stator keeps battery at such s high state of charge, the charger light shows full charge before I get bike locked and wrapped up for the day. Everyone I know says Cycle Electric makes the best electrics for motorcycles, and now, I do too.
