I am in the process of building a 1970 Triumph TR6 Bobber and using the steel bungs has made things a lot easier and a much cleaner job. I used the 1 inch bungs on the back of my fender where struts connect to them, on upper and lower fender mounts I used 1/2 inch - 5/16 bungs and for battery box also, all bungs were Welded in place. Nice clean threads, beets the **** out of making up something a hour or two later in my shop. Just tune to fit, weld than move on to the next job.
Mounting Magic!
These are great for making mounts. Huge time savers, no drilling, no tapping, just weld them on. They fit inside a 1"x .120 tube if you need to extend them.. Lowbrow has great service, send me what I order and fast shipping. I wish the other companies I order from were as good.

3/8-16x1" bungs. They are round, straight, treaded for 3/8-16tpi and they are 1" long and 3/4" outer diameter. Just like they say. They are nice to look at, even nicer to weld onto my chopper. I will buy all my bungs from Lowbrow. Perfect, as described. Made nice tank mounts (just like in tech tips).
