ring compresser
in the past it took two of us to squeese the rings as we lowered the jug. It was very hard work and took a good deal of time. Once we made a compresser from soda bottle and a velcro strip. That worked better. But it still required four hands. With his new compresser I did the job in five minutes using an electric drill to adjust the compresser. Wonderful results.

Just what I needed
Just got finished using the the ring compressors. Everything went as planed. This was the first time that I have ever done this and I was happy that it went so well. The slotted screws were a bit annoying though. Mine didn't have hex head on it like the one showed in the picture.

Ring compressor
Well, having this is luxury mechanizing! I used to have to use a 16 oz beer can and cut away the side lengthwise, or cut apart a Foster's beer can and use large hose clamps, but this is the way to go, less chance of breaking a ring! I highly recommend this for 70-75.5mm ring installation on air cooled motorcycles.

A satisfied customer, the delivery was phenomenally well sorted, USA to UK in 3 days, brilliant !

Lord of the Rings
I was recently in need of a set of ring compressors for my ‘52 Triumph project.I checked with all the usual suspects,NAPA,Harbor Freight,my motorhead buddies and others only to turn up a bunch of wrong sized tools of dubious quality and value. I have made several purchases from Lowbrow Customs in the past and looked at there offerings. They had what appeared to be the factory equivalent at a very competitive price. When the arrived a few days later ( with free shipping! ) I was not disappointed. This gave my buddies an excuse to ride over and give me a hand.
Works Way Better Than a Screwdriver Tip or Fingernails!!!!!
Back in the day we were constantly seizing or just plain wearing out the pistons/rings in our two stroke dirt bikes. I can still smell the “bean" oil in the air!!! No one owned a spring compressor so we were stuck keeping the rings compressed “manually” with a screw driver tip, finger nail, screw clamp, etc. while trying to lower the cylinder in place. It usually worked but not always. There were more than a few “ah F###” moments. So if you don’t want get into a wrestling match with the two pistons on your Brit twin, get a set of these puppies, you’ll be glad you did, makes the job so much easier. Oh and google around, there are some templates/measurements out there for making a piece of wood to fit between the bottom of the pistons and the top of the cases so the pistons stay up while (whilst) you slide the cylinder down.
Great tool!
Just the thing we needed to complete our engine rebuild.
Ring Compressors Worked Great
I am rebuilding a 72 Triumph OIF 650 Tiger. In that process I needed ring compressors to install new pistons. The tools I got from your shop worked very well.
Triumph parts
Great parts for my vintage triumph project. Thanks !!!
