Product Information

These Mid-USA springers offer an affordable alternative to other sub-standard springers on the market and feature one piece rear legs for added strength. Available in black with copper accents in standard length as well as -2, +2, and +4 lengths for custom applications.

Re-engineered for greater strength and durability
one inch front rails on all lengths
Fully assembled with a forged in-line top bracket without a built-in rake
1" O.D. steering stem designed for Timken type bearings
Both rear legs are threaded for right or left brakes
Forged rockers for superior strength
Rear legs are 1 piece from the rocker to the top tree
The 3/4" O.D. axle kit includes a brake mount pivot with thrust washer and hub spacers (custom spacers may be required depending on the wheel used)
Measures 9 1/4" between rockers
Riser mounts are on 4 3/4" centers and threaded 1/2-20
The standard length Springer (24" measured from the bottom bearing to the axle center) is comparable to a standard length FXST front end. Any measurement over or under (ex. -2 Inch Under or +4 inch over) is based off of the standard length 24" front end.

NOTE: This springer will NOT fit Harley-Davidson Dyna models, or 2004 & later Sportster models due to the design of the frame neck and turning radius issues.

I have tried those on a pre-04 evo sportster frame and it will fit the neck of the frame one of the things I noticed when trial fitting it was that the turning radius was affected for full lock one way by a weld seam on the frame . The other thing I noticed was that the springer would run into the stock gas tank on the one I tried it on so a custom tank or moving the stock tank back may be required . I am not sure if your stock wheel is going to be compatible with the new springer . You will need new risers and bars that will fit on a springer they need to be 4.75 for the clamping area preferably with knurling The Mid USA springers will come with a 3/4 axle but you would need to make some wheel spacers and the stock brake is not going to work. That would need a bracket and caliper designed for a springer like this https://www.lowbrowcustoms.com/collections/motorcycle-brake-caliper-brackets/products/mid-usa-front-caliper-bracket-for-springer-models-chrome that part is not specific for any wheel so it would be up to you to determine the best use of the included spacers it will not have any directions and you may need to modify one or more of the included spacers for what ever wheel you use If you are not sure if you can complete the installation it would be best to consult a professional motorcycle shop that is local to you . They could also guide you in what will work well together.

This Springer will not work on rubber mount sportsters (04-up), or Dyna models
