I didn’t want to cut my original frame so this option was helpful. I did have to remove about 2” from it to install this. Cutting was easily done with a sawzall. A little grinding or file work to round the cutoff sections. Then it was just a bolt-on, easy to install rear end. Fit and finish was great. The welds were beautifully done.

This hardtail was made extremely well, there is plenty of options to add on whatever you need, it was really well thought out for custom builds. Everything on it made it super easy to adapt what I wanted to on the bike. I saw lots of folks running this in the spirit of a bobber build or using a solo seat and I wanted to push the options a little and go for a more traditional chopper build. It does work! The seat pan was something I needed to get a little creative with, but it worked.

It fit like it was made for my specific bike and looks great i am halfway done i am welder by trade i used this one because i like the lunchbox oil tank and right side shift .i couldent have those if i used the weld on hardtail. Thanks for having a well run company

Nicely made, my first bolt on hardtail, would suggest to anyone to take their time cutting the frame, I was able to get less than an 1/8" gap on my 73' frame. Hacked off the 2" and then ground down to match the angle of the tubing. Great price for what's yo be a cool build. Thanks!

Fit up was about a 9/10. Had to bend one tab to get a perfect fit, no problem though. Hardware was good and could even use the original rear wheel, drum brake and spacers. You do have to cut off about 2 inches of the fender support.

This is a very nice hardtail but I had a couple of issues. One of the lower brackets was bent. Easily straightened by bolting the left side of the hardtail to the right side of the frame and pulling it straight with the supplied bolts. The supplied hardware is great! The second issue is the hardtail lower brackets are 1/16" narrower than the outside of the frame casting. Confirmed with LowBrow that this is normal. I used my grinder with a 80 grit flap wheel to remove just enough of the frame casting to slip the hardtail in place. The instructions say remove 2" from the fender strap. I measured and it looked more like 3" was needed. I removed 2 3/4" and still was about 1/8" too long. Look at the bike in the LowBrow pictures and you will see it was about the same. Check your frames as this frame is a 73 with the bent strap. Earlier frames might be different. I am perfectly happy with this GasBox hardtail even with the minor issues. Kudos to the packing/shipping crew as they did an outstanding job.
