The part was delivered just fine to a friend's house because I'm out of the country until the end of February. I'm working on getting my 1977 Bonneville, that I bought new, back on the road. I parked it in 1988 planning on fixing it sooner than I am. Won't be able to work on it much until May because of ski season and the fact that it's in an unheated shed at 8,000 ft and the snow sticks around. I'm sure the stator and the other parts will work fine. Very happy to get the carbs at a good price, mine were worn out. And thanks for the video, how to rebuild a Triumph motor, helps out a lot.

The Norton would not make enough juice if you needed your headlights on like in penna. it would stall at every stop sign and if you used the turn signals stall while running. I installed this unit and now the bike runs perfect. Headlights brake lights turn signals and horn can all be on at once and she just purrs. The only negative is the shrink wrap on the new unit is not tight so would not go through the hole in the primary case. I needed to cut that without damaging the wires to get them through one at a time. All the reviews I saw were on triumphs. This shows it greatly improves Norton’s also. Mike

Belt drive clearance
Installed this unit, bike fired right up and was charging. Problem is this unit is wider than stock so if you have a belt drive as I do and are running the primary cover, it slightly holds the cover from mating up to the case, triplex chain bikes may have the same problem.
Swapped this bit...
Swapped this bit out in my 71 BSA when the ol' stock Lucas died. Hot damn, the bike charges like it should now!
