United States1994 FXLR Stator Swap
Best Experience Changing a Charging System on any of my bkes! I have used Cycle Electric products for years, but not exclusively. I forgot how much easier it was to tackle this job when you have the right parts that are backed up by the manufacturer. Like most people these days, I'm looking for deals on everything with prices as high as they are, and I purchased a less expensive kit than the CE kit. The rotor was thicker and not machined flat on the face which produced a challenge with spacing between the rotor inner wall and the stator to accomplish the primary chain alignment. Something caused the new system to overcharge and almost ruined a new battery. Then it wouldn't charge at all but still checked out on the stator checks. Took it BACK apart and found a Crack in the rotor magnet plastic frame. I wanted to get a trusted setup like the CE but didn't have the bones for it. That's where Lowbrow Customs came in with a much more reasonable price for the Cycle Electric kit! I jumped on it and was amazed how fast it got here. Better still, Cycle Electric supplies separate instructions for each part and they are easy to comprehend even for a Neanderthal like myself. I won't make the mistake of 'short'-cutting my electrical again, and Lowbrow has anew customer. The company swag and candy inside of the shipping container reminded me of Sweetwater music where I sometimes purchase guitar equipment. They used to do that too!! It's just icing on the cake people. Good, though the recommended nylon set screw is difficult to find. And not sure how much of the pass through needed to pass through, it is a great American made product
