Oil Tank - Bolt-On for 1965-Up Harley-Davidson Four Speed Swingarm Frames

The tank arrive in a timely manner, the installation was smooth modifications were done according to instructions. This tank was installed on a 1981 FXWG the mock up went smooth disassembled sent to the local powder coater and reinstalled. Very satisfied with the installition.

Tight fit chipped paint installing. Be sure to put fitting in before installing. Put on a 1979 shovel.

still workin it

since my project is still in mock up stage i cant offer much. i did mount the gas tanks and sorta mounted the oil tank. that pesky little tab on the left rear has to come off. overall so far i'm very pleased with the parts and will be visiting the catalog again for some other stuff once i get my electronics figured out. Thanks for the great parts

I have bought two of these now and will use them on every build I do moving forward. The only problem I have had is it doesn't share space either the traditional coil mount.

The fitment and fabrication are of excellent quality . Clears the starter , shift linkage and clutch cable / arm .

Not just for a swing-arm frame..

Tank is amazing. First bought it for my swing-arm build and on a whim tried it in my rigid Paughco frame and fit perfectly. Didn’t want to throw 300 out the window for a new oil tank.

Quality oil tank

Waffled on buying this for a while. Did research on the many repro (rigid) tanks available. After buying the rigid frame version, I had to have the Swingarm version also. Made very well & definitely structurally more heavy duty than any repro. Buy one you won’t regret it!

Quality piece, you won't be disappointed

This oil tank is exactly what the doctor ordered... one of the last major hurdles on my panhead basketcase project. Fitment was perfect in the frame and workmanship on it is second to none. It definitely looks like it belongs. Love how the battery tray is integral to the design and the clutch cable screws into the front mounting bracket. One thing you do need to keep in mind is the paperwork included mentions cutting off the lower portion of the rear fender to clear the rear mounting bracket. No biggie for me but some guys may not like that... Super stoked I was able to catch this in stock. Hopefully not too much longer and I'll have oil lines made and this pan up and running after a 30 year slumber.... thanks for an amazing product!
