I installed this on my 2003 Sportster. The vacuum line running to my stock petcock had cracked and slipped off so I decided to get a gravity fed petcock to avoid any future failures. This petcock feels very well built. I ordered the "inward" facing version after doing some research on forums but it turned out that a downward facing version would have been more appropriate. I had to drill a hole through the metal bracket that is under the tank to be able to feed the fuel hose. I used a 5/16" ID hose which seemed like it could have been tighter(maybe 1/4" would have been better) but I've had no leaks so far. Since having the petcock installed I've noticed that the bike has a stronger and better sounding idle. The bike is also quieter. The vacuum operated petcock must have had a small tick that I no longer hear. I haven't noticed any significant power gains. Some downsides to this petcock that I've noticed are that it sits a lot further under and higher up beneath the tank. I cant see it while riding even when peering to the side of the tank. It's hard to find with my hand especially with gloves on. Also, the switch to operate it, while its very smooth, doesn't have a positive stop for the center(reserve) position, and the operation of the switch could maybe use some more resistance.

Excellent petcock with no dissatisfaction! Eye for detail piece and went perfectly with my Narrow Sporty Frisco gas tank. Not the cheapest but would highly recommend.
