In the fall of 2007, S&S introduced an engine with a retro look, but with updated technology. The panhead engine has been hailed as the coolest looking classic engine of all time, and the P-Series engines from S&S capture that retro styling from the 50's and 60's, but with 21st century engineering. Keep in mind that as cool as these motors look, they are not reproductions. These engines were built to run!

Updated panhead can’t beat it. Only issues is the heads. The one bolt header design ( come on! Go 3 bolt design! Std). Being a brand new motor it’s a mother to kick over we had to open up the oil drain valve to relieve pressure which was built up inside motor. S&S tech’s Where a help my suggestion is to get a electric / kick start. Took about 50 miles to break motor in where it started easier.
