IMPORTANT NOTE: These pipes have light rust bleeding through the black paint, and as such are considered 'Blemished'. They are otherwise new and in perfect shape. We have discounted them by $30 due to the rust. Check out photos for a general example, the pipes you get may have a bit more or a bit less rust. You can always repaint them yourself if desired, a product we have used that works great is this high-temp black paint from Eastwood.

Whether giving you added ground clearance on a scrambler or tracker, or just for high-and-tight style on a rigid or swingarm Sportster, the Shotgun Exhaust Pipes from Lowbrow Customs make quick work of improving your motorcycle's look and sound. Quick and E-Z bolt-on install with the included heavy-duty mounting brackets and hardware. Available in your choice of chrome or high-temp black.

The outside diameter (OD) of these exhausts is 1.75", and the inside diameter (ID) is 1.60".

Other things you might find useful are several colors of exhaust header wrap, and you can also check out our selection of finned, smooth and fish scale cast aluminum motorcycle exhaust heat shields. These will keep you and your passenger from accidentally burning your leg while riding, plus there is the added benefit of their cool style.

Important Exhaust Notes:
Note: As with any new exhaust, you may need to change carburetor jetting or use of an aftermarket fuel injection control module for peak performance.

Note: For 1986-1989 models you would need to modify the exhaust bracket to work with the stock chain drive and change the starter motor to a later, smaller size starter than the stock Hitachi starter.

Note: These will not work fit on motorcycles with aftermarket hardtail as the bracket will not work with the hardtail modification.

WARRANTY NOTE: There is no warranty on exhaust pipes and mufflers with regard to any discoloration. Blueing is caused by tuning characteristics, cam timing, carburetor jetting, overheating, etc. and is not caused by defective manufacturing. No refunds on exhaust pipes once motorcycle is started unless there’s a manufacturer’s defect.

WARRANTY NOTE: Using header wrap on exhaust pipes will void the warranty. Lowbrow Customs will not take returns or replace damaged exhaust pipes that were wrapped. Many motorcyclists use header wrap to either keep the heat away from their leg or just 'for looks'. Header wrap not only keeps heat away from anything near it, it keeps the heat inside the pipes. Header wrap is designed specifically to keep the heat in the header to improve the scavenging of the cylinders. Keeping the heat in keeps the exhaust speed high, which is good for performance. The issue is that, especially if the motorcycle is running lean, the metal of the exhaust can be at near molten (or molten) temperatures, causing the pipe to disintegrate or crack. This typically happens close to the exhaust port / head. For this reason we will not replace pipes that are damaged by excessive heat due to header wrap.

Awesome pipes, easy install!

I just got these pipes for my '02 Sportster 883R and installation was a snap. I've never installed exhaust pipes before, but the instructions included were totally clear. That being said, WATCH THE VIDEO and you can save some time figuring out things like which pipe to put on first and how to NOT lose the ground wire on the left-side bolt. One thing that maybe no one realizes: if you have a combination belt drive and a raised rear suspension, you may need to grind down the bracket to make sure it clears. It took a few extra minutes, but was no big deal. The end result is a great sound and a great look!

Not the easiest exhaust to install but great sound

These pipes look snd sound great. Installation was simple but like in the video you have to pay attention to your grounds. My wiring harness had 2 wires grounded to the left motor mount and the wires broke during the process. I missed it and spent 2 days figuring it out. They did warn me!

Shotgun Pipes for Scrambler

I bought these pipes for a scrambler build that I’m doing and the fit and finish is awesome, and they’re very reasonably priced. I will say as it has been mentioned in a previous review these are not a direct bolt on if you’re running a chain conversion. The bracket must be modified as it winds up right in the center line of where the chain runs. Definitely not a deal breaker though, modifying and making things fit is all part of the game!
