I bought and installed a Lowbrow/GasBox KR style hardtail on my 73 XLH Sportster. I was very happy with the hardtail and the associated hardware. I wasn't sure how I would install a battery mainly because I have not decided on an oil tank. I looked at the pictures of the installed KR hardtail and noticed the battery was sitting below the oil tank and just above where the bottom of the hardtail is bolted to the frame. So I went to the battery boxes and found the GasBox Ironhead adapters built especially for the bolt on hardtails. That was easy and while on site I also selected a GasBox battery box. All of it bolted together easily and looks great. The adapters are listed as chrome plated but it is industrial protective chrome not show chrome. They could easily be painted, powder coated or stripped, polished and show chromed.
