Thunderheader Exhaust Systems offer increased horsepower & the unmistakable Thunderheader sound. The head pipes have been tuned to the proper length & diameter for each individual motorcycle model to produce maximum horsepower, and a excellent torque curve. In addition to “tuned” head pipes, a patented collector is used. The collector is designed to direct spent gases through four acoustical dampening chambers. The flow director serves a “multi-task” function, (1); directs outgoing flow through four acoustical dampening chambers creating a spiral motion upon exiting to atmosphere. (2); it also forms a pyramidal shaped “anti-revision” trap to minimize the amount of air rushing in. In conjunction with the flow director, a diffuser shroud is attached to the reverse cone. This patented device is designed to defuse the air rushing in as the pressure inside of the system becomes equal to atmosphere.

NOTE: When first using exhaust, heat may cause discoloration as part of the paint curing process, this is normal. There is no warranty on exhaust pipes and mufflers with regard to any discoloration. Blueing is caused by tuning characteristics, cam timing, carburetor jetting, overheating, etc. and is not caused by defective manufacturing. No refunds on exhaust pipes once motorcycle is started unless there’s a manufacturer’s defect.
WARRANTY NOTE: Using header wrap on exhaust pipes will void the warranty. Lowbrow Customs will not take returns or replace damaged exhaust pipes that were wrapped. Many motorcyclists use header wrap to either keep the heat away from their leg or just 'for looks'. Header wrap not only keeps heat away from anything near it, it keeps the heat inside the pipes. Header wrap is designed specifically to keep the heat in the header to improve the scavenging of the cylinders. Keeping the heat in keeps the exhaust speed high, which is good for performance. The issue is that, especially if the motorcycle is running lean, the metal of the exhaust can be at near molten (or molten) temperatures, causing the pipe to disintegrate or crack. This typically happens close to the exhaust port / head. For this reason we will not replace pipes that are damaged by excessive heat due to header wrap.
