I initially purchased the 1200 up grade kit as a replacement for the tired old jugs on my beloved 91 1200 Sportster. Sadly, I rushed in as the low price was not only cheaper, but an easier alternative than sourcing new pistons, sending the old barrels out for a re-bore, paying for the labor and then hoping that everything went back together as it should. The simplicity of a complete kit that was a match made in heaven seemed the way to go. Luckily, a good mate of mine who has been involved in the HD industry for over 40 years informed me of the dished pistons that come with kit. These are suited to the stock 883 heads, but not the 1200 model I was about to bolt them onto. As fate would have another mate who works as a HD trained mechanic had a stock set of 1200 pistons which he measured up with the barrels and hey presto, one fine looking fresh top end on my sporty and me sporting a huge grin. Thanks fro the prompt delivery Lowbrow. Apart from the dished pistons (which was my bad) everything bolted up nicely and looks the goods as well. We'll be doing more business in the future, that's for sure.

I installed this on...
I installed this on a 2002 883 Sportster. This is a bolt in kit with pre-fit pistons. Lowbrow Customs did an excellent job taking the order and shipping it fast. The parts were of high quality. The only problem was the outside base of the front cylinder has to be slightly relieved with a file to clear the lifter block. Took about 5 minutes. Other than that, this is the most bang for the buck you can do to an 883. And Lowbrow Customs provided the most competitive price.

Very complete and well made kit. High end gaskets, looks great. directions **** but I figured it out. Get the XL service manual because certain way they want you to tighten bolts on heads.
