DETAILS ABOUT THIS '69 FLH MOTORCYCLE
A quick overview:
- 1969 Harley-Davidson FLH, with clear Ohio title
- Last year generator Shovelhead, a classic.
- Not restored or in perfect shape, has patina and character, but overall a very classy bike.
- Full engine rebuild in 2018, bike has less than 1,000 miles since rebuild
- S&S 80" flywheels, pistons, oil pump
- Andrews cam
- BDL belt drive
- S&S Super E carburetor with stock air cleaner
This 1969 Harley-Davidson FLH has been a northeast Ohio bike since new. It was owned over the years among a group of a couple local friends. The original owner had bought it new when he got home from Vietnam.
This bike has a bunch of accessories from the era, such as the sheetmetal side chrome side covers, crash bars, lights, etc.
This bike is ready to ride, runs great, no issues. Tyler and his wife rode this on El Diablo Run in Baja, Mexico around six or seven years ago, and it never missed a beat. Here it is in front of an insanely giant cactus somewhere between San Felipe and Ensenada!
It did develop a bit of a knock back in 2018 and upon inspection, there was excessive play in the big end rod bearings. The engine was taken to Delzani Cycle in Cleveland, Ohio, which is a longtime, local shop with an excellent reputation for engine work. The engine was rebuilt in late 2018 (see receipt in the photos).
Rebuild cost was $5500, and included everything top to bottom. Bottom end was rebuilt with new S&S 80" flywheels, replacing the stock 74". Looks stock, but has more power. Also has S&S pinion shafts, S&S pistons, S&S billet oil pump, Andrews cams, BDL belt drive. It has an S&S Super E carburetor on it, with an adapter to run the stock air cleaner.
Very few miles since rebuild, less than 1,000. That is why I am selling it, I have more bikes and can't ride them all. This is a nice bike and it is ready to go. Fires right up and runs great. No issues or maintenance needed that I can think of.
Also included are a custom solo seat and buddy seat and seat post (see photos).
