about the author
Michael Marino
lowbrow staff writer
Michael got his start in motojournalism in 2016 with iHeart Media’s 2 Wheel Power and has since had more than 100 stories published in national motorcycle publications. Michael’s experience includes a stint as an associate editor for the American Motorcyclist Association for more than two years, as well as owning his own communications practice – Marino Communications – since 2018. Michael has worked with more than 35 clients in his brand’s first five years, including KTM, Aprilia, RevZilla’s Common Tread, the Ohio Mini Roadracing League and more than a dozen privateer racing teams. Many of Michael’s clients compete in MotoAmerica, and Michael has experience covering nearly every form of motorcycle competition. In Aug. 2022, Michael launched NEO Moto News – a news website covering all things motorcycling in northeast Ohio. Michael’s never intentionally ridden off-road, but he’s logged more than 150,000 miles of road riding; completed two Iron Butt Association Saddlesore 1000 rides; and is about half-way through a project where he’s riding to all the places in the United States that are in the song, “I’ve Been Everywhere.”
