Led Sled Customs is proud to offer this internal throttle, it allows you to clean up your handlebar’s look by removing the external cable and routing it inside the handlebar. It features steel construction and is made in the USA. The outer diameter measures 1.145″. This is a custom throttle and will require drilling and fitting to individual applications as well as modification of throttle cables, instructions are included with each throttle. Professional installation is recommended. For use with 1″ handlebars. Made in Ohio, USA.

I'm thinking about buying this throttle assy because of the price point, but I've read some reviews on this throttle assembly that says it doesn't operate very smoothly. Does it have roller bearings inside or is it metal on metal? Have you had many issues with it being returned? Do you have a copy of the assembly instructions you could send me to review, or do I just have to buy it to see the instructions?

How do you keep the housing from spinning without a set screw?

it uses a set screw see the instructors below ### Internal Throttle Assembly Installation Instructions Before installing your internal throttle assembly, you will need to cut and remove **3.940”** off of the handlebar end on the throttle side. You will then need to drill a hole for the throttle cable to exit the handlebars near the center of the triple trees (most handlebars are already pre-drilled for wiring purposes). Keep in mind: - The throttle cable should not get kinked and should exit the handlebars in a manner that allows it to function smoothly. - It is also recommended that all moving parts in the throttle assembly be lightly coated with bearing grease, and the throttle cable should be oiled with the proper lubricant. - Some carburetors may require an in-line cable adjuster to achieve full throttle at the carburetor. #### After Shortening the Handlebars: You will need to drill a **13/64”** hole for the set screw. Drill the hole **1.495”** from the bar end. Drilling the bar from the underside is recommended for a cleaner appearance. #### Assembly Instructions: 1. **Prepping the Handlebars**: After the handlebars are prepped and ready, insert the throttle cable through the hole in the handlebar until it comes out at the throttle end. 2. **Disassembling the Outer Sleeve**: - Remove the end cap screw from the outer sleeve. - Remove the outer sleeve completely by rotating it clockwise. - **Important**: Do not lose the rollers, as they are subject to variations. Install them in the same order they are removed. 3. **Removing the Inner Sleeve**: - Once the outer sleeve is removed, slide the rollers away from the set screw. - Locate the set screw on the inner sleeve. - Insert the throttle cable end into the slider, then tighten the set screw using a small amount of blue Loctite (medium strength). 4. **Reassembling the Throttle Control**: - Insert the inner sleeve into the handlebar end. - Align the set screw holes. - Tighten the set screw until flush with the handlebar, using blue Loctite (medium strength).

What is the difference between this internal throttle housing and the Kustom Tech one, besides the $275 difference in price? Is the Kustom Tech one that much better quality or what? Thanks
