I put this mirror between my grip and my clutch lever, where the electronics used to be. That gets it out wide enough to see around my shoulder just fine. Tons of angle adjustment to accommodate the different bar bends I've messed with. Most importantly, it's so much more stable than the stock mirror was; I can actually see what's behind me instead of just "yes/no there's headlights back there."
