Q:I installed the 8 over fork tubes on my 77fxe and they look great! My questions are 1- you provide 60w motor oil, why is that recommended over 20w? And 2- would I use the same amount of oil as the stock length forks? Thank you very much for your time

A:Hi there these re use the same internals as the stock ones. You will need a rebuild seal kit and new fork oil. As well as a schedule 80 PVC spacer that you provided to take of the extra room from the extended forks. A service manual is a must when began to service any motorcycle. https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/c/motorcycle-service-parts?aribrand=HDM#/Harley-Davidson%c2%ae/XLCH-1000_4AH7_Sportster_1000_(1977)_4AH7_XLCH1000_Sportster_1000_(1977)_Sportster_1000_XLCH1000_4AH7_(1977)/FRONT_FORK_-_1975_%26__LATER_(SHOWA)/30a99cd3-2b9c-44a2-b6aa-5b2b93319152/596240d4-8791-4f60-b490-43b57b601976/y
