Heavy gauge steel tank, quality welds, fit perfect. Bought for a 2004 sportster. Description says has a flat bottom which sounds like it sits on top of the frame like an older peanut tank. It has flat bottom but it still has a recessed tunnel down the middle so it straddles frame much like stock tank. Description says vent tube is soldered shut. Mine wasn't but that worked out great because I use that vent. Overall very happy with purchase.
